Ventajas: Our stay was wonderful! We were upgraded to a gorgeous room overlooking the lake, however, all the rooms looked superb. We were a very short walk to the city center and could see the islands on the lake from our balcony. The boats to the islands were also close by. The staff at the hotel were more than outstanding and when our car broke down they completely took charge and helped us get a new car. We had a great facial and massage in their lovely spa. I couldn't say enough about this great hotel. It was a fabulous and I can understand why Ernest Hemingway wrote about it in "Farewell to Arms". The perfect start to our Italian vacation.

Ventajas: The place is simply wonderful, the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, but not only the hotel staff, also all the few ( about 25) inhabitants of the tiny island gave us good tips and were very friendly.The room with a view have actually a breathtaking view...The hotel is run by a family, so there is not any great traditional service, but they are so kind that one can have anything, just to ask...We had a reduction because we had a doubleroom each but used as single, even though there was not any reduction shown in the reservation form. We can only recommend this little charming family hotel.

The hotel was everything I had hoped for (having read reviews and information on Booking.Com and Trip Advisor) and more! The ferry/boat service to other islands and the mainland was very good. Lovely friendly and helpful staff and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The food in the hotel restaurant was quite simple, but always very tasty.

I booked for October by mistake, but the reception staff were very understanding when we arrived a month earlier in September! They gave us one of the best rooms with big veranda, but one of our dogs got on to the stain glass room. It was a talking point of our stay!

Ventajas: El hotel es magnífico. Instalaciones hermosas. Cuatro personas en recepción, siempre hay alguien que habla español. Muy buena piscina con tumbonas y toallas. Personal atentísimo,educado y perfectamente presentado. Recogen el equipaje con carro, lo suben(qué gran cosa y qué olvidado está), nos recogieron de la piscina al ponerse a llover con paragüas. Habitaciones con terraza o la piscina( buenas) o al lago( más caras). Piscina cubierta grande para nadar con jacuzzi. Estaban contantemente limpiando. Muy recomendable. Cuatro estrellas que serían cinco, probablemente porque no les interesa.

Ventajas: The hotel is very relaxing and artfully decorated. It has several different room themes but each one is done in with good taste. The room that we have stayed in on two occasions has a kitchenette, a small bathroom, WC and comfortable lounge area. The really yummy continental breakfast is served either in the courtyard garden or inside the cafe and the fruit and pastries are more that you could desire. The people who manage the cafe/hotel also have an art gallery adjacent which we liked too. No lift but helpful people to assist you. Would stay there again as enjoyed the experience greatly.

Ventajas: This was a wonderful family-run B&B in the hills behind Stresa. Massimo, the owner, was the perfect host and he even came to collect us from Stresa centre after we got lost trying to find our way to him. The room upstairs is self-contained and has a nice en-suite bathroom which the other 2 rooms do not. Breakfast on the outside terrace was lovely although fresh juices would have been nice. Overall, the ambience was very relaxing away from all the crowds but careful if you attempt to walk down to Stresa and back - the roads are very narrow and winding!

The restaurant staff run a very impressive facility to a high standard, The view from my room was wonderfull and breathtaking and will remain the abiding image of our holiday. The room cleaning staff were very helpfull and work hard in keeping the rooms fresh and clean.
